Farewell TriStar
May 11, 2006 when I started to work with TriStar Group of Banana Companies. I can still remember all the struggles and challenges while doing things out right for the position I am currently in. It is still embedded in my memory that I really asked sign from God if TriStar is really for me. Because at first I can’t imagine myself that I’ll be doing tasks too far from being a “lesson plan buddy”…hehehe. As if I am grasping in the dark coping with the marketing jobs. So new from me: Cutting Orders, Rainfall Data, Banana Specs, and everything under Banana Export Industry.
Despite the hardships, I managed to learn everything as a Marketing Clerk. Month of October 2006, when I was transferred to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Group as ISO Staff, the one really I applied for and which is another thing too much not related from my course, BS Mathematics… Can you imagine somebody, person in the academe, yet will do industial jobs? It’s ME…hehehe.
I really don’t know what came out from the inner-most part of my “encephalon” why I developed this instant interest towards quality. I learned all about ISO when I was teaching because our school that time is on process of ISO certification. I had attended series of orientation and seminars about it.
Having with me only my little knowledge, but intense pursuit to learn, in ISO, I was able to conquered all fears and doubts in my job. With this, I proved to myself that there’s no amount of difficulty can bring down all your interests and love and passion towards something. As a saying goes, “learning is a continuous process”, this was my tool that is why I was able to developed my whole self and soul in the world of ISO and ISO became my language of life.
Now, I am an ISO advocate for 2 years and 5 months and I appreciated the opportunities and experiences that have been provided to me by TriStar. Working for this company has been a wonderful experience. I could not ask for a better group of colleagues. I have grown in many ways here and will always treasure the opportunities provided for me by the company.
I really can’t forget those people who really helped me to become a skillful ISO practitioner, especially of course my ISO groupmates. I will really miss those joyful and tearful moments in TriStar. The time I have spent with them has been most rewarding and helpful in my career, and I hope that my contributions to the company are constructive.
Today, October 15, 2008 (5:31 P.M.) as I put ending with this post, I wish all the best and continuous improvement to Tristar.
To my TriStar Family, Thank you so much and God bless.
